May PP futures also posted a significant increase, rising by CNY 491 per ton to close at CNY 9476 per ton ($1214 per ton without VAT). The contract saw active participation, with volumes at 1,011,727 tons.
May PVC futures climbed CNY 271 per ton to settle at CNY 6123 per ton ($785 per ton without VAT), recording the highest trading activity among the contracts at 2,076,859 tons.
May MEG futures followed the upward trend, gaining CNY 324 per ton to settle at CNY 5459 per ton ($700 per ton without VAT), with trade volumes of 861,915 tons.
