South Asia Polymer Offers Surge, PE Prices Rise Up to $100/MT
International polymer offers for the South Asian market, including the Indian subcontinent, have increased sharply, with most polyethylene (PE) grades rising by $100 per metric ton (MT) amid tight supply and firm global cost support.

HDPE Film (HM) is now offered at $1580/MT, up by $100/MT, while HDPE Injection and HDPE Blow Molding grades have both reached $1560/MT, also marking a $100/MT increase. HDPE Pipe (Natural) offers have climbed to $1585/MT.

In the linear segment, LLDPE prices have risen to $1575/MT, reflecting a $100/MT gain. Meanwhile, MLLDPE has increased by $50/MT to $1650/MT.

The broad-based price hike across PE grades highlights continued supply constraints and elevated upstream costs. Limited availability from key exporting regions and ongoing logistical challenges are supporting the upward trend.

However, at these elevated levels, buyers are expected to remain cautious, with demand likely to face resistance as affordability pressures increase in the region.
